Day #5
Something I would change about the world:
Not to sound like miss america or anything, but I definitely wish for world peace. If every country were able to get a long and work together, so many amazing things could be accomplished.

Day #4
Sorry, I missed a day. I decided I may not post everyday, but I will keep the posts in order, and just take longer than a year.
Moving on… How do I think my life would change if I achieved my dream?
Well, that depends on what my dream is. If I chose my dream of becoming rich and famous, my life would change tremendously. If I chose my dream of traveling the world, my life would change a little (mainly I would be poor after using my entire savings to achieve this dream, but also I would have had a lot of experiences that many people do not get). The dream I think I will choose is my dream to live a happy and full life. This probably will not change my life at all. I am already very happy, and the dream is just to continue on the path that I am on.

Day #3
What is your reason for being here:
Isn’t that what everyone is asking? I think the whole point of life is trying to uncover the truth to this question. I still have no idea what my reason is, and I doubt I will know for a very long time.

Day #2
Something illegal I think should be legal:
I am definitely for the legalization of marijuana. I do not support it for personal reasoning, but for the economic benefits it would bring. Also, without going into detail, legalizing marijuana would most likely minimize the use of it.

Clearly I could not keep up with my updates from school, so I am going to attempt the 365 day challenge. Heres day #1:
This is a picture of my and my dog Chloe, taken over break.
My dreams/plans/goals for the next year are fairly simple. I want to continue to do well at school, and spend more time with my family and friends. I don’t expect anything amazing to happen this year, but I am perfectly ok with that.

College Update #4: 12/16/11
FINALS WEEK IS ALMOST OVER!!!!! and even better news: I HAVE A NEPHEW!!!!!! This has been an absolutely crazy week. Fortunately I was able to go home last weekend, and I came back Wednesday for my finals. It didn’t leave me a lot of time to study, but I was very happy to see my family take a break before all my tests. Then on Thursday, December 15th at 5:25am Easton Chase Olstad was born. I wish I could have been there, but I will get to meet him on Tuesday, and I have been able to Skype my family at the hospital a few times. Easton seems to enjoy skyping me a lot more than Chloe does! I can’t wait to go home and hold him!!!!
This weekend I am able to relax after taking what I consider the hardest test of my life. Two full hours of writing, and my hand barely made it out alive! Now this weekend I am going to rest, and pack for break. A lot of people are gone, or are studying for their tests, so it is kind of quite/lonely around here. Thankfully, tomorrow I get to (finally) go on the Christmas train on the el, as well as go ice skating!
Happy Holidays to everyone, <3 Kenzie

College Update #3: 12/3/11
Today marks the weekend before the last week of classes. First off I would like to thank everyone for all the support and presents to help me make it through the end of the semester, they are helping a lot! I have one paper down, one to go, and then two finals. This weekend I am giving myself a break because I finished my honors paper early and I want to reward myself. Today I am going with friends to do a little Christmas shopping, and then going to an a cappella concert tonight! Tomorrow is going to be more Christmas shopping, possibly skating at Millennium Park, and then singing at church. As fun as this weekend will be, I hope it goes by fast because next Friday my parents are coming! I decided to go home for a couple days because my first final isn’t until a week after my last class.
Looking back, this semester has gone by really fast. It’s hard to believe i’m almost halfway done with my first year in college. It has been so much fun, and I have met a lot of great people and had a lot of cool opportunities. I can’t wait for next semester because I am going to be taking a lot of cool classes. Also, if things go according to plan, I will be leaving next semester with a new puppy!
Time to go get ready so I can go shopping. Peace and blessings :)
